Jello Plant cells -
I made a batch of green jello added some organelles and voila! - plant cells.  I put them in a UPS box and brought it to class.  I tell the students I got them on ebay and they are rare, from a ginormous plant in the rain forest. (No, they don't actually believe me)  Then we dissect them!

We used baby food containers for the cell wall, grapes represented the nucleus, raisins as the mitochondria, green hard candy for the chloroplast and a slice of cutie for the vacuole.

We have a venn diagram to compare them to animal cells (made with water balloons) and we label a cell diagram.
